OUR UNIVERSE
We are global citizens and as such our pupils are committed to the social and environmental environment through different committees led by the pupils themselves. At this stage we continue to promote values through different social campaigns, twinning, and volunteering. Lunch is also a space to promote the healthy values that have been developed since Early Years. In Senior School, pupils have a sponsored beach and their commitment to its cleanliness and recycling.
In the committees (led by pupils) everyone supports each other when they think a peer needs their help. Our motto is “no more”. We positively reinforce the efforts and successes of all pupils. Peer mentoring ensures the integration and well-being of all new pupils.
The pupils enjoy the debate, the constructive argument and as such we are organisers of the regional session of the Model European Parliament of Andalusia + Canary Islands Ceuta and Mellila.
Excellent results in external exams motivate them to excel and bring out the best in themselves.
METHODOLOGY
We start from the premise that there is no single methodology for excellence, but rather that there are different methods and that the use of the most appropriate technique will depend on the focus of learning and the objectives to be achieved. The strategic use of all of them leads the pupil to a global approach which allows them to have personal tools to find solutions to the different problems posed at an academic level and even at a personal and social level.
In the upper stages of Senior School (Secondary), progress is made with this practical and integrating methodology, adapted to the age, interests and cognitive process of the pupils. The activities, projects and other educational experiences are holistically designed by year and age, so that they can progress in their own development.
The methodological basis of The English Centre is inspired by neuro-didactics and constructivist and thinking theories. Therefore, we work with techniques that develop these processes of metacognition:
- Collaborative work
- Routes of thought
- Project Based Learning (PBL)
- Socratic dialogue
- Service-Learning Technique
- Debates

The importance of the use of other modern languages in the world in undeniable. The Modern Languages Department wishes to offer our pupils a wide range of possibilities regarding the study of other important languages at an international level. Apart from English, our pupils also study French as a second foreign language. Our main objective is to draw French culture and language closer to our pupils to ensure they develop adequate competences which would allow them to take active part in real situations. In order to do so, we work from Early Years up to Sixth Form aiming to reach our objectives.
