In Sixth Form pupils enjoy an extensive curriculum with a wide variety of opportunities and experiences in all areas: cultural, artistic, linguistic, scientific, and social, in order for pupils to develop fully, both academically and personally, and be able to function in any environment, including the international context.

As citizens of the world at this stage, we continue to enjoy different international experiences where we can immerse ourselves in other cultures.

We encourage debate, constructive argumentation and as such we are organisers of the Regional session of the Model European Parliament of Andalusia + Canary Islands Ceuta and Mellila.

In addition, in Sixth Form, the passion for theatre is brought out in different charitable performances.

Also, at this stage the pupils have the opportunity to carry out professional internships before entering the university stage.

And most importantly, we are a big family and as such we transmit a sense of belonging, respect and integrity that involves the whole ECI community.

We start from the premise that there is no single methodology for excellence, but rather that there are different methods and that the use of the most appropriate technique will depend on the focus of learning and the objectives to be achieved. The strategic use of all of them leads the pupil to a global approach which allows them to have personal tools to find solutions to the different problems posed at an academic level and even at a personal and social level.

In the upper stages of Senior School (Secondary), progress is made with this practical and integrating methodology, adapted to the age, interests and cognitive process of the pupils.  The activities, projects and other educational experiences are holistically designed by year and age, so that they can progress in their own development.

The methodological basis of The English Centre is inspired by neuro-didactics and constructivist and thinking theories. Therefore, we work with techniques that develop these processes of metacognition:

  1. Collaborative work
  2. Routes of thought
  3. Project Based Learning (PBL)
  4. Socratic dialogue
  5. Service-Learning Technique
  6. Debates
