We carry out a range of activities to encourage public speaking and debate amongst our pupils. This project aims to unify, coordinate, improve and extend activities, resources and material to this end. The main objective is to promote Oracy across the School and to develop and extend the skill of Public Speaking. This requires a good command of
Language, argument needs to be coherent and language discursive and persuasive.
Body language and facial expression add weight to meaning. Confidence and self-esteem supported by the ability to apply critical thinking to discourse will lead to success in this area.
